Handcrafted ceramic sake set - Tokkuri carafe and ochoko glasses with floral decoration

A complete traditional Japanese sake set. This set includes a glazed stoneware tokkuri carafe with a cork stopper and four matching ochoko glasses. The ceramic features a satiny cream glaze. The carafe's narrow neck facilitates controlled pouring, while the sake glasses have the characteristic stemless cylindrical shape of traditional ochoko.

The blue floral motif is fixed by firing simultaneously with the enamel, ensuring its durability through repeated washing. The Limonadier ochoko sake glass has a standard capacity.

Technical specifications

Care of glazed ceramics

Hand washing is recommended to preserve the integrity of the painted decoration and the gold trim. Use a soft sponge. Complete drying is necessary before storing. The cork stopper must remain dry to maintain its sealing properties.

Optimal sake service

For warm sake, heat the carafe in a bain-marie rather than directly over a flame, as the ceramic diffuses the heat gradually. Filling glasses no more than two-thirds full respects traditional etiquette and prevents spills.
