About the Lemonade Maker
The art of glass, selected by a sommelier
Limonadier.co is a shop specializing in tasting glassware and bar accessories. Each product is selected according to professional sommelier criteria: shape of the bowl, thickness of the rim, balance in the hand, influence on aromas.
Here, we don't sell glasses. We help you taste better.
Why does Limonadier exist?
Finding the right whisky glass online is no easy feat. You'll find hundreds of results, different shapes, prices ranging from €5 to €150, and no explanation of what really matters. The same problem applies to cocktail glasses, beer glasses, and decanters.
Benjamin, the founder of Limonadier , witnessed this firsthand for five years as a wine cellar consultant. Clients would serve gin in port glasses, champagne in cheap flutes that stifled the bubbles, and whisky in glasses that were too thick, masking the tasting notes.
The container makes all the difference. The shape of the bowl directs the aromas towards the nose. The thickness of the rim alters the perception in the mouth. The weight of the glass influences the gesture and the enjoyment. This isn't marketing—it's physics and applied sommelier expertise.
Limonadier was born from this idea: to offer a selection of glassware and accessories where each piece has been chosen for a specific reason.
How we select our products
Each glass and each accessory goes through a multi-step selection process before being added to the store.
We evaluate the shape and its influence on the aromatic experience. We check the quality of the materials—crystal, blown glass, stainless steel. We test the grip, the balance, the robustness. And we compare it with what already exists in the collection to avoid unnecessary duplication.
Of the more than 200 models evaluated since Limonadier's creation, less than a quarter have made it into the catalogue. The rest did not meet our criteria.
This sorting process is what makes the difference between buying a glass at random and choosing the one that truly suits your needs.
Founded by a certified sommelier-consultant
Limonadier was created in 2022 by Benjamin, a sommelier-consultant graduate from the University of Wine in Suze-la-Rousse. After a career change and more than five years spent advising customers in wine cellars, he wanted to put this expertise to use in an online store.
His approach: to apply the same exacting standards to glassware as a sommelier applies to wine. Every piece of advice published on the site comes from his practical experience — not from a marketing brief.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who selects the products?
Benjamin, certified sommelier-consultant and founder of Limonadier. Each glass and accessory is personally evaluated according to professional tasting criteria.
Why is the shape of the glass so important?
The shape of the glass concentrates or disperses the aromas. A tulip-shaped glass focuses the aromatic compounds towards the nose, while a flared glass releases them more widely. The thickness of the rim also alters the perception on the palate. This is why the same whisky doesn't taste the same in two different glasses.
Are your glasses suitable for beginners?
Yes. The shop offers ranges for all levels — from beginner glasses to expert models. The product descriptions and guides on the blog will help you choose according to your needs.
Where do your products come from?
Our lenses and accessories come from specialist manufacturers selected for the quality of their materials and their expertise. Each supplier is evaluated on durability, finish, and value for money.
